Text of the speech of An Taoiseach March 17th 2020
All students were given login details for Office 365 by Mr. Feeney.

Your login details give you access to your Outlook email, Teams and the other Office 365 software such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel. Many teachers have set up Teams for class work.
Learning online cannot replace the traditional classroom because it is by its very essence or nature not completely 'real.' Teaching on the Internet is teaching in virtual reality, but not in reality. Therefore it does not replace the school timetable. It most certainly cannot replace the encouraging word or the support of a teacher in the classroom. It does however make resources and guidance available to students. But it is up to students with the support of parents/guardians to manage their time and how they use and interact with those resources. In the current very exceptional circumstances delivery may be uneven due to a range of factors - limits placed on school staff in terms of access, broadband speed, social distancing requirements and the absence of a lead period to put systems in place. We know that as always we can rely on your support as we navigate this difficult time. However, rest assured that everyone at St. Mary's will do their very best to help you and your student.

Step 2 - Login in to your Office 365 account. Some teachers may upload work to the web site HERE
